THE MEDICAL OPTIONS: AVOIDING ED AS A SIDE EFFECT

It is a challenge to effectively treat a health-compromising ailment while at the same time circumventing ED. However, there are ways that it can be done. I have implemented all of the following six options, where appropriate:

1. Changing the medication to one that has the same capabilities but is less likely to trigger ED.

2. Lowering the dosage of the medication and observing whether the health condition is still controlled and ED either diminishes or disappears.

3. Decreasing the medication’s dosage and adding another low-dose drug to help control the underlying primary medical condition.

4. Taking a drug “holiday,” if suitable to the case.

5. Constantly being alert to newer treatment options.

6. Timing a patient’s sexual activity to the medication’s lowest strength during a twenty-four-hour period.

To illustrate these methods, here are examples of how each one worked for six different patients.
