MAKING LOVE: MAN-ON-TOP POSITIONS 1
Man-on-top positions, in particular the “missionary” position, where the man lies between the woman’s thighs, are probably the most widely used of all the sexual positions. They give the man almost total control over intercourse, but the woman is allowed very little freedom of movement.
Man-on-top positions are particularly good for couples who are just beginning to have sex with each other, as there is full eye contact and the opportunity to communicate with each other so that preferences and responses can be noted. The other advantages these positions offer are plenty of scope for kissing, deep penetration and manual stimulation, plus access to the male posterior. They are also good if conception is desirable.
