Sexual relationships usually progress in small steps, with each of you giving and responding to signs of encouragement. Picking up on and responding to the other’s cues correctly will minimize any risk of your social responsiveness being interpreted as sexual encouragement.
It is important, too, to know exactly what you want out of a relationship. Many women are shy about admitting that they just want sex, not a long-term loving relationship. Some women even will go so far as to generate feelings of love in order to have sex, and this, in the long-term, will prove unsatisfactory for both you and your partner.
Do not expect every encounter with a man to lead to great romance or sex. If you get too serious or expect a man to give more than he is prepared to, you will probably make him retreat. It is not usually a good idea to be familiar with him too soon. Express admiration and interest in him, but stay away from endearments or physical caresses in the early stages of the relationship.
